RULES & REGULATIONS
HR Courtroom is proposed as an interactive HR-based simulation designed to provide students with a practical platform to apply Human Resource Management concepts in a realistic workplace-conflict setting.
- The event combines courtroom-style argumentation with evidence analysis, HR policy interpretation, witness examination, cross-examination and ethical decision-making.
- Each participating team will consist of three members and will be assigned either the HR/Management side or the Employee/Employee Representative side of a fictional workplace case.
- Teams will receive structured case files containing relevant documents, statements, policies and other information, with selected information intentionally distributed between opposing sides.
- The competition will be conducted in three progressive stages: Preliminary Courtroom, Semi-Final Courtroom and Grand Final.
- The event aims to develop critical thinking, professional communication, ethical reasoning, evidence-based decision-making and practical HR problem-solving.
- A total of 8 teams will participate, with 3 participants per team, making a total of 24 participants.
- Participants must report to the Seminar Hall before the scheduled reporting time.
- All participants must carry a valid college or institution ID.
- Any form of cheating, plagiarism, unauthorised assistance, misconduct or unfair practice may result in disqualification.
- The organising committee reserves the right to make final decisions on disputes, scoring and rule interpretation.
- Participants must follow all venue, campus and event-day instructions provided by the organising committee.
