The Executive Murder Files — Meridian Capital: The Missing Ten Crore is an investigation-based business simulation designed to test participants’ analytical, financial, negotiation and decision-making skills. Teams take on the role of external investigators hired by Meridian Capital after ₹10 crore is discovered missing from a client trust account. Participants navigate eight checkpoints involving crime-scene investigation, financial analysis, vendor negotiation, journalism, IT and cybersecurity, an unexpected evidence twist, an auction/black-market stage and a final Vault.

At each stage, teams collect clues, interact with characters, solve business challenges and manage limited in-game resources. The information is deliberately distributed across multiple checkpoints, requiring teams to distinguish reliable evidence from misleading information and conflicting testimony. The event culminates in an evidence-based submission identifying Who, How and Where, rewarding investigative reasoning rather than simply speed.

• Teams must consist of 2–4 participants.
• Participants must report to the venue before the scheduled reporting time and carry a valid college or institution ID.
• Teams will navigate eight checkpoints and must follow the instructions provided at each checkpoint.
• Teams must collect, assess and connect evidence from different checkpoints to arrive at their final conclusion.
• Participants must manage limited in-game resources strategically throughout the simulation.
• Information provided during the event may include misleading information or conflicting testimony; teams are responsible for evaluating the reliability of evidence.
• The final submission must be evidence-based and clearly identify Who, How and Where in relation to the missing ₹10 crore.
• Participants must follow all instructions given by event officials, characters and checkpoint facilitators during the simulation.
• Any form of cheating, plagiarism, misconduct, tampering with evidence, unauthorised assistance or unfair practice may result in immediate disqualification.
• Teams must not interfere with another team’s investigation, clues, resources or progress.
• The organising committee reserves the right to make final decisions regarding disputes, rule interpretation, scoring and disqualification.
• Participants must follow all venue, campus and event-day instructions.
