RULES & REGULATIONS

Chess is a timeless game of strategy, patience, and critical thinking.

• Participants will compete individually in a format announced by the organizers, which may be knockout or league-based depending on the number of registrations.
• Players must carefully plan their moves, anticipate their opponent's strategies, and utilize their pieces effectively to gain an advantage.
• The event encourages logical reasoning, concentration, and sportsmanship while providing a competitive environment for chess enthusiasts.
• Time-controlled matches will ensure engaging gameplay and fair competition.
• The player who successfully wins their games and advances through the rounds will be crowned the champion.
• Participants must report to the Common Area before the scheduled reporting time.
• All participants must carry a valid college or institution ID.
• Any form of cheating, misconduct, unauthorised assistance or unfair practice may result in disqualification.
• The organising committee reserves the right to make final decisions on disputes, scoring and rule interpretation.
• Participants must follow all venue, campus and event-day instructions provided by the organising committee.
