RULES & REGULATIONS

The Boardroom is a high-pressure, team-based business decision-making competition designed to test participants’ strategic thinking, business judgement, problem-solving, risk assessment, adaptability and communication skills.

• Participants are placed in realistic managerial situations involving incomplete information, competing priorities and limited time.
• Teams analyse business cases, identify key problems and formulate strategic responses.
• A unique Pressure & Twist mechanism introduces unexpected developments after teams have made their initial decisions.
• Teams must then decide whether to retain, modify or completely change their strategy and clearly justify their revised approach.
• The competition simulates a real boardroom environment where managers are expected to make decisions under uncertainty and defend them before senior stakeholders.
• Multiple stages include situation analysis, a detailed boardroom case, a twist round and final defence before judges.
• The event focuses not merely on the final answer but on the quality of reasoning, strategic adaptability, feasibility and ability to defend decisions under pressure.
• Participants must follow all venue, campus and event-day instructions.
